What's next? We often feel stuck in our learning process, we feel as if we have reached a plateau and don't really know what to do or where to turn to in order to get again this fast and enjoyable progression we experienced when taking on a new project or dance form.
Two of the answers are technically deepening and culturally widening knowledge. These two key elements will help you work towards your own style, dance flow and creativity.
Why not enter the Bellydance Trophies competition and / or take on learning another form of Arabic dance with the London Algerian Ballet?
Based in the UK , the third season starts this January 2014 and will run through to June 2014. Bellydance Trophies aims to recognize in a fair and accurate process the most talented dancers of the Oriental scene.
The judging criteria has been collaboratively developed to value the various skills of an oriental dance performer.
Prior to their selection date, during a one-to-one coaching session, the contestants will self-evaluate their competition routine against the judging criteria and will receive valuable advice and suggestions from high profile featured instructors.
Who can enter the contest?
The contestants are expected to demonstrate and develop skills in a variety of styles some chosen by them and some imposed at some stages of the competition.
Following this perspective, the contest is open to any performer of raqs sharqi, fusion, tribal and other variations of bellydance. Professionals, semi- pro, non-professionals and students may all enter the contest.
Our perspective is to give every passionate dancer the time and the chance to showcase and develop their talent, knowledge, hard work and fair play.
When registering contestants benefit from a one-to-one coaching session as well as 3 workshops which will enable them to work on focused skills for an optimum competition preparation.
